What to Expect

Summit View is a small congregation with deep roots that is treasured for its warm, welcoming atmosphere. As a smaller group of believers, Summit View is a place to be discipled and to serve, based on Jesus Christ's example of humble servant love. All are welcome. Servant opportunities include prayer, worship team participation, hospitality baking, visitation, food pantry, grounds upkeep or building maintenance, per your gifting.

Sunday morning family worship service is casual yet worshipful. This is an inter-generational, interactive worship service for the whole family. Nursery is provided for children ages birth-4 years of age. Children over the age of four are welcomed into our family worship service as fellow learners and worshipers. We include specific "child and youth friendly elements" within our worship service to engage learners of all ages in the study and worship of God. The message is biblically-based and preached by ministers who know the congregants. The music selection is a mix of timeless hymns and contemporary worship songs, interspersed with a meet and greet time and intercessory and family prayer. Testimonies and requests for prayer are always welcome. The worship service starts at 10:50 A.M.

Sunday Evening Men and Women Small Groups meet at 5:30pm in our upstairs classrooms. These groups meet for one hour and spend time discussing the scripture text from the morning sermon in order to more fully apply it to our lives. After a short discussion on the scripture text, the remainder of the time is spent in personal fellowship and accountability in which men and women are able to share openly and honestly about daily life, struggles, victories and joys .

Wednesday evenings are open to people of all ages. We meet at 7pm in the upstairs fellowship hall for a time of prayer.

Summit View Church of the Nazarene is an intimate church with a lot going on. It is a community of people who strive to love like God, in which you can be known well, ministered to personally and faithfully participate in the work of God.
